FAQs
How does FS Darkener Plus X compare to water-based color enhancers?
Solvent-based FS Darkener Plus X delivers deeper penetration and longer-lasting color enhancement than water-based alternatives. Its robust silane chemistry ensures superior stain resistance, oil repellency, and UV stability.
How do I know when FS Darkener Plus X needs reapplication?
Perform a simple water-bead test: if water no longer beads, the oil-repellent, stain-resistant barrier has worn off. Reapply FS Darkener Plus X to renew your stone’s color intensification, waterproofing, and breathable sealer performance.
What’s the best way to maintain the wet-look color finish on dark granite?
Clean periodically with a pH-neutral cleaner to avoid stripping the wet-look sealer layer. Reapply FS Darkener Plus X every 12–18 months as a stone color intensifier and stain-resistant protector to keep granite and marble surfaces looking richly saturated.
Will FS Darkener Plus X affect the slip resistance of stone pavers?
No, because it’s a breathable stone impregnation, not a film-forming finish, it maintains the natural texture and slip resistance of tile, stone slabs, and pool decks while providing waterproofing and stain protection.
How do I maintain the wet-look effect on my dark granite?
Regularly clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner to avoid stripping the wet-look sealer layer. For heavy-wear areas, reapply FS Darkener Plus X every 12–18 months to restore full stain resistance and color intensity on dark-colored stones.
