Granite Cleaners

Granite is hard and acid-resistant, but polished granite still dulls, streaks and stains when it is cleaned with the wrong product. Soapy household cleaners leave a film that kills the shine, oil soaks into lighter granites, and hard water leaves white halos on kitchen tops. Every granite cleaner here is made for natural stone and leaves no residue.

Choose a granite cleaner by the job

Daily mopping of polished granite floors: Faber Soap cleans, adds water repellency and raises the sheen with no rinsing, or Faber Algafloor, a pH-neutral, very low-residue cleaner for polished and compact surfaces.
Flamed, honed or leathered granite: Faber Neugel, a pH-neutral cleaner for more absorbent stone.
Dull, greasy or long-neglected floors: Faber 30 2.0, an alkaline deep cleaner for built-up traffic dirt.
Cement haze, limescale and mineral deposits: Faber Deterfug, a slightly acidic deep cleaner for acid-resistant surfaces. Test a hidden spot first, as some granites contain softer minerals.
Kitchen countertops: Faber Top Care cream brings up the shine and reduces limescale build-up.
Oil and grease stains: Faber No Oil. Coffee, wine and mould: Faber No Mac Gel. Rust: Faber No Rug.

After a deep clean, protect light and absorbent granite with a stone sealer so new spills stay on the surface. Not sure which one you need? Use the Product Finder, or work out quantities with the coverage calculator.Granite clean but still dull? Read our granite polish guide.
