FAQs
What makes AS 930 CP different from AS 930?
AS 930 CP is specifically formulated for surfaces that come into direct contact with food, such as kitchen countertops and tabletops. It also provides additional protection against acid etching.
Is AS 930 CP safe for food contact surfaces?
Yes, AS 930 CP is certified safe for use on food-contact surfaces, offering protection while maintaining food safety.
Does AS 930 CP enhance the color of the surface?
Yes, AS 930 CP enhances the natural color and finish of the surface, providing a polished look while protecting against stains and acid etching.
How do I apply AS 930 CP?
Apply AS 930 CP evenly to the surface using a cloth or applicator. Allow it to penetrate and dry, leaving a polished, stain-resistant finish.
Can AS 930 CP be used on all surfaces?
AS 930 CP is ideal for marble, granite, and other similar materials used in food-contact areas, such as kitchen countertops. It is not recommended for surfaces that are not food-safe.
How many coats of AS‑930 CP are required for optimal protection?
AS-930 CP is designed as a single-component, ready-to-use treatment that achieves full protection in one uniform application. Simply apply a continuous, even coat across the clean, dry surface and allow it to level naturally without reworking. For most tabletops and countertops, this one-coat system delivers the intended stain- and acid-resistance; in exceptionally heavy-use or high-traffic areas, a second coat may be applied after the first has dried to reinforce the glossy, wet-look barrier
Is AS‑930 CP suitable for both interior and exterior use?
Yes. AS-930 CP has been formulated and certified for use on food-contact surfaces, making it ideal for kitchen countertops, restaurant tabletops, bathroom vanities, and other indoor applications. At the same time, its solvent-based, ultra-hard finish withstands outdoor conditions, exposure to occasional spills or light weathering, so it can also be employed on covered patios or sheltered exterior installations where food safety and stain protection remain priorities.
What temperature and humidity ranges are ideal for applying AS‑930 CP?
For best results, apply AS-930 CP in clean, dry conditions, avoiding application on wet or heated surfaces. Ambient and surface temperatures between 10 °C and 29 °C (50 °F–85 °F) ensure proper penetration and curing, while relative humidity kept below 85 % prevents moisture interference during film formation. Under these conditions, the product will dry within 1–2 hours and reach full protective performance after approximately 24 hours.
