Description

LIMESTONE DENSIFIER is a water-based impregnating agent of the highest quality, specifically developed to speed up and simplify the mechanical sanding and polishing process of limestone and lime-based materials, which are more difficult to polish on account of their porous nature and their high capacity to absorb water.

LIMESTONE DENSIFIER is characterized by a 100% water-based, eco-friendly formula and for its lack of volatile organic compounds (V.O.C. Free), therefore, its use is not harmful to the environment or for the health of users, either during or after application.

FAQs

What is LIMESTONE DENSIFIER used for?

LIMESTONE DENSIFIER is a water-based impregnating agent developed to treat limestone and lime-based surfaces. It helps protect against rising damp and aids in the mechanical polishing of limestone floors.

LIMESTONE DENSIFIER facilitates the mechanical sanding and polishing process of limestone by reducing the stone’s porosity and improving its capacity to absorb water, making polishing easier and more efficient.

Yes, LIMESTONE DENSIFIER is water-based, VOC-free, and eco-friendly, making it safe for the environment and users during and after application.

LIMESTONE DENSIFIER leaves the surface with a natural finish and does not create any film, ensuring that the material's original appearance and breathability are maintained.

LIMESTONE DENSIFIER is specifically designed for use on limestone and lime-based materials, especially those that are difficult to polish due to their porous nature.

Apply Limestone Densifier undiluted to a clean, dry limestone surface using a brush, roller or low-pressure sprayer. Flood the area evenly, allowing the product to penetrate for 10–15 minutes. Back-roll or brush out any puddles, then wipe off excess material before it dries. Allow the treatment to cure for at least 24 hours before light foot traffic and up to 48 hours for full performance.

Yes. By penetrating deep into the stone’s capillaries, Limestone Densifier hardens the substrate and imparts pronounced water-repellent (damp-proof) properties without forming a surface film. This reduces the stone’s water absorption and impedes the ingress of light oils. For heavy-duty oil or grease resistance, follow up with a compatible surface stain-proofer.

Because it chemically integrates with the stone, Limestone Densifier provides long-term protection that doesn’t wear away with routine cleaning. Under normal indoor conditions, its densifying and damp-proof effects remain effective for the life of the installation. In high-traffic or mechanically polished floors, it will last until the next major grinding or repolishing cycle.
