Water-based, non-slip treatment for marble, travertine, limestone, and lime-based surfaces in general

Category:

Description

SAFE MARBLE is a water-based treatment specifically devised and developed to increase surface grip on marble, travertine, limestone and lime-based floors, removing the problems linked to their slippery surfaces.

SAFE MARBLE is acts directly on the surface of the material to which it is applied, creating micro-erosions that are invisible to the naked eye and which boost the run-off of water to increase surface grip and therefore reduce slipping in wet conditions, either with footwear or bare feet.

Areas of Application

FAQs

What is Safe Marble and how does it protect marble surfaces?

Safe Marble is a water-based, non-slip treatment formulated for marble, travertine, limestone and other lime-based floors. It works by creating microscopic surface etchings that accelerate water runoff and increase grip ,reducing slipperiness in both wet and dry conditions without altering the stone’s appearance.

The micro-erosion profile created by Safe Marble remains effective indefinitely under normal conditions, as it interferes mechanically rather than forming a sacrificial coating. In high-traffic or subjected areas, periodic reapplication (typically every 12–24 months) may be performed to maintain optimal slip resistance.

Yes. Its water-based formula is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, including polished and honed marble floors, glazed porcelain, concrete-marble agglomerates and other masonry substrates.

Yes. Safe Marble is compatible with all absorbent marble varieties polished or honed as well as related lime-based stones. Its non-filming action ensures it adheres and micro-etches effectively across different marble finishes.

Safe Marble is designed exclusively for flooring and is not certified for direct food-contact surfaces. For marble countertops or surfaces in food-prep areas, we recommend using an FDA-approved, food-safe sealer such as Protex.
