YS ONE

Water BasedAcid PH

Water-based, non-slip treatment for ceramic, porcelain stoneware, quartz and siliceous stone flooring.

Category:

Description

YS ONE is a water-based treatment specifically devised and developed to increase surface grip on ceramic, stoneware, quartz, and siliceous stone floors, removing the problems linked to their slippery surfaces.

YS ONE is a unique product that acts directly on the surface of the material to which it is applied, creating micro-erosion that are invisible to the naked eye and which boost the run-off of water to increase surface grip and therefore reduce slipping in wet conditions, either with footwear or bare feet.

Areas of Application

Resin-Quartz Agglomerates

Molted Basalt

Glazed Ceramic

Granite

Honed Porcelain Tiles

Natural or Structured Porcelain Tiles

FAQs

What is YS One Protection and how does it work?

YS One is a water-based, non-slip treatment designed to increase surface grip on ceramic, porcelain stoneware, quartz and siliceous stone floors. It creates microscopic, invisible “micro-erosions” on the surface that accelerate water run-off and significantly reduce slipping under wet conditions, whether you’re wearing shoes or walking barefoot.

It’s proven effective on resin-quartz agglomerates, molted basalt, glazed ceramic, granite, and honed or structured porcelain tiles and works equally well on both natural and engineered stone substrates.

Yes. Its water-based, neutral-pH formula penetrates without etching or altering the stone. It’s expressly tested on natural stones—such as granite and basalt—ensuring safe, long-term grip enhancement without damage.

To apply YS One Protection, first thoroughly clean the floor with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and allow it to dry completely. Next, apply the product undiluted using a low-pressure sprayer, roller, or brush, ensuring full and even coverage. Let the treatment dwell for 10–15 minutes to allow the micro-erosions to form, then gently agitate the surface with a soft brush or mop and rinse or wipe away any excess residue. Finally, allow the floor to air-dry for 2–4 hours before resuming light foot traffic.

Maintenance after YS One application is straightforward: clean routinely with a neutral-pH cleaner (such as Mild Stone Cleaner Plus) to preserve the micro-erosion profile and avoid abrasive or acid-based cleaners that could diminish surface grip. Depending on foot traffic and wear, plan to reapply YS One every 12–18 months or sooner if slip resistance noticeably decreases to maintain optimal safety performance.
