B1 700

Highly performing, solvent-based, and fast-drying stain-proof treatment with a natural finish, for natural stone, terracotta and agglomerates.
Description
B1 700 is a protective, solvent-based, stain-proof treatment fast drying and specifically formulated to not alter the appearance of the materials on which it is applied in any way, leaving the surface with high stain-proof performance. The product is particularly recommended on all surfaces that are sensitive to colour changes following the application of an impregnating agent.
Due to these characteristics, B1 700 is a great solution for treating natural stone, such as limestone, which are generally difficult to protect due to changes in colour. It’s quick and easy to apply, it doesn’t create any film and therefore, it does not change the original breathability of the treated surface. It’s UV resistant, it won’t end up yellowing over time and is suitable for use indoors and outdoors.
FAQs
What surfaces can B1 700 be applied to?
B1 700 is designed for natural stone, terracotta, and agglomerates. It is particularly effective on surfaces like limestone, which are sensitive to color changes after impregnation.
Does B1 700 change the appearance of the surface?
No, B1 700 is formulated to protect surfaces without altering their appearance, leaving a natural finish that maintains the original look of the material.
Is B1 700 safe for outdoor use?
Yes, B1 700 is UV-resistant, so it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use without yellowing over time.
How long does B1 700 take to dry?
B1 700 is fast-drying, allowing for quick application and providing long-lasting stain-proof protection.
5. Can B1 700 be used in high-traffic areas?
Yes, B1 700 increases stain resistance and is ideal for areas with frequent use, including kitchen counters and other surfaces exposed to high traffic.
How should B1‑700 be stored to maintain its shelf life?
B1 700 remains stable for up to 24 months when kept in its original, tightly sealed container and stored in a cool, dry environment (ideally between 5 °C and 30 °C). To preserve its performance, protect the product from direct sunlight, extreme temperature swings, and moisture ingress, and avoid leaving the lid ajar, which can lead to solvent evaporation and loss of efficacy.
How many square feet will one gallon of B1‑700 cover?
Coverage depends on the porosity and texture of the substrate, but B1 700’s Technical Data Sheet indicates an average spread rate of 10–15 m² per litre. This equates to roughly 108–161 ft² per litre, or about 400–600 ft² per US gallon under normal conditions. For exact figures on your particular stone, please refer to the detailed table in the TDS.
How does B1‑700 improve resistance to stains, oils, and salts?
B1 700 is a solvent-based, penetrating sealer that leaves no surface film, thereby maintaining the stone’s breathability. Upon application, it infiltrates the capillary network of natural stone, terracotta, or agglomerates and bonds with the substrate to create an invisible hydrophobic and oleophobic barrier. This barrier significantly reduces liquid uptake, water, oils, and salt solutions bead up and run off rather than penetrate, minimizing staining, efflorescence, and deterioration over time.
Can B1‑700 be applied to previously sealed stone?
Yes, but only after fully removing any existing film-forming sealers or outdated impregnators. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned—stripped of old products, neutralized, and fully dry—so that B1 700 can penetrate effectively. Once the stone is prepared and free of residues, B1 700 can be applied just as it would be on untreated surfaces; always test a small inconspicuous area first to confirm adhesion and appearance.
